Here's Your Chance to Shape Geneva's Future Downtown

The second in a on the future of Geneva's downtown takes place at 7 p.m. tonight in the Training Room, 1800 South St.

The workshops will present the purpose of the Downtown Master Plan, the planning process to be undertaken, and the schedule for the planning process. It also offers a chance to provide input on problems, issues and potentials within the downtown.

The downtown area under discussion extends from Stevens Street on north, past Seventh Street on the west, to the Kane County Government Center on the south and all the way to the east shoreline of the Fox River.

The workshops will be an interactive experience designed to review, discuss, and identify conditions and potentials within the downtown. The master of ceremonies is John Housal of Houseal Lavigne Associates, LLC.

The results and feedback from the workshops will be used in conjunction with other steps in the planning process to prepare a vision followed by detailed recommendations.
