Donahue Seeks Second Term on Kane County Board

Geneva's County Board representative will make a run for the 11th District.

Kane County Board Member Mike Donahue (R-Geneva) announced today that he plans to seek a second term to represent the county’s 11th District.

If re-elected, Donahue said his top priority would be to support the transition to the next county administration for the benefit of his constituents and taxpayers countywide.

“It appears that for the first time in history we will have a new administration coming in from outside the County Board. The best thing I can do for my district and the taxpayers of Kane County is to pledge to work constructively with the new administration to control government spending, reduce taxes, and maintain our quality of life in Kane County. The next County Board chairman, whoever it is, will need the benefit of experienced and supportive board members to achieve these goals effectively.”

In addition, Donahue supports a phase out of health insurance and pension benefits for County Board members and the imposition of 10-year term limits for County Board members and the County Board chairman.
