Deadline Approaching to Order Parkway Tree

Submitted by the City of Geneva

The City has an ongoing parkway tree replacement program. Parkway trees are defined as trees within City right-of-way, usually located between the sidewalk/property-line and curb.

The deadline to order a tree to be planted this fall is Friday, June 13.

The City, through a contract with the West Suburban Tree Consortium, is able to purchase trees at discount prices. Under the program, the resident pays $150 and the City pays the remainder of the cost to purchase and plant a new tree. The City's cost is more than $150.

The program is for residents living in Geneva's corporate City limits. If you live in Mill Creek, you should call Blackberry Township at 630-365-6580.
