Complaint Line Set For April 5 Elections

Kane County voters noticing any irregularities or problems can report their concerns to the Kane County State's Attorney's office.

The Kane County State's Attorney's office will establish an Election Complaint Line available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5 for voters to contact if they experience problems or have concerns about the elections.

"Everyone wants an honest, fair, orderly election," State's Attorney Joseph McMahon said.

Staff will take complaints about potential violations of Illinois election laws and will be available to travel to the problem polling places to ensure compliance with state election laws.

Voters with concerns over possible illegal election activity such as electioneering, illegally placing campaign signs near a polling place or denial of voting rights at any of the county's 228 voting precincts are asked to call the hotline at 630-208-5328.

The hotline is not for elections questions such as polling times and places. Those inquiries can be made by calling the Kane County Clerk's Election Help Line at 630-232-5990.
