City To Host Public Information Meeting on Road Projects Thursday

Submitted by the city of Geneva 

The City invites residents impacted by the 2014 road construction program to a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12 at the Public Works Department, 1800 South St.

A list of streets slated for repairs this summer and fall can be found at the link below. Residents living in close proximity to these streets were mailed letters inviting them to the meeting, which will provide detailed information regarding the improvements and a better understanding of the how the road construction will affect daily routines.

Residents will have an opportunity to voice any concerns and ask questions about the improvements at the meeting.

During construction, typically there will be no long-term street closings. However, on streets where the water main will be replaced, travel conditions will be slower than normal. There could be delays or intermittent closings to allow trucks and other construction equipment into the area.
