A Few Changes in Where You Go for Bond Court in Kane County

A few recent changes have been implemented, so here's a review of where and when to go if you have a bond call in Kane County.

A few changes have been implemented to Kane County Bond Court recently. Here’s an update on the particulars. Note that not everything has changed.

Bond call takes place at three locations: Elgin Branch Court, Aurora Branch Court and the Kane County Judicial Center. More information and directions are here.

Elgin Branch Court, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, IL 60120

  • What’s heard here: All cases involving a defendant in custody from Elgin, Carpentersville, South Elgin, East Dundee and West Dundee.

  • Fax: 630-585-6494
  • Bond call time: 8 a.m., Monday through Friday
  • What’s heard here: Aurora misdemeanor and traffic cases involving a defendant in custody; Montgomery and North Aurora felony, misdemeanor and traffic cases involving a defendant in custody.

  • Bond call time: 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
  • What’s heard here: Everything else. Aurora felony cases are heard at 9 a.m. Monday through Friday via video. Anything that wasn’t heard at the 8:30 a.m. bond call is heard at 3:30 p.m.

Weekends and holidays

  • Bond call time: 8:30 a.m. in Courtroom 005 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
  • What’s heard here: Everything.
