Xanex and Vicodin Taken from Purse in Bedroom

Beware of your prescription drugs, police say. They can be the objects of theft or burglary.

This story goes back to what the has been saying for some time: that prescription drugs are a hot item for thieves and burglars, and sometimes teens.

Theft under $500—Someone took 60 pills of Xanex and 60 pills of Vicodin from a purse in a residence in the 700 block of Illinois Street sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 29 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 30, reports said. The drugs were valued at $50. The purse was sitting on the resident’s bedroom dresser.
