Woman Sentenced for Series of Vehicle Burglaries in Geneva

A 19-year-old Schaumburg woman has entered Kane County's deferred prosecution program and has been ordered to serve 140 hours of community service and pay $3,506 in restitution for her involvement in a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred last summer in Geneva, according to the Daily Herald. 

Rebecca Olson, along with a co-defendant in the case, Christopher Mentenick, 25, are accused of entering vehicles between Aug. 7 and 10 in the Westhaven and Fisher Farms subdivision where police said they stole an iPad, credit cards, loose change and personal check, according to the article.
