Police and coroner's office: Details are few, but the situation is described as "a natural death."

Details are few, but Geneva police and Kane County Coroner's Office staff members have confirmed that a Geneva woman was found dead Friday afternoon in her home on the East Side.

Geneva police Cmdr. Julie Nash confirmed reports from Geneva Patch readers that police responded to a report for medical assistance on Friday afternoon and found the woman had died in her home on East State Street. The house is roughly across the street from the intersection of Kane Street.

Nash said she could not release the woman's name, age or address.

The Kane County Coroner's Office representatives also declined to release the name of the deceased woman but described the circumstance as "a natural death," and said they are awaiting notification of the funeral home.
