Woman Charged With Stealing Dog Flea/Tick Medicine

Batavia police made two retail theft arrests last week and reported another in which the thief was not caught, and it's hard not to wonder whether two blotter items were related.

Someone took a Bark Collar from Menard's on Oct. 10, and later that day, police reported the arrest of a 42-year-old Plano woman charged with taking flea/tick medicine from Menard's.

Woman Charged With Taking Dog Medicine

Batavia police arrested Cecilia Avila, 42, of Plano on charges of retail theft for allegedly attempting to take dog flea/tick medicine valued at $52 from Menard’s, 300 N. Randall Road, according to a report filed at 3:48 p.m. Oct. 10. Avila has a court date of Nov. 12.

 
Woman Charged With Taking Clothing From Kohl's

Batavia police arrested Sandra Uribe, 26, of Aurora on charges of retail theft, according to a report filed at 4:24 p.m. Oct. 10. About $250 worth of clothing allegedly was taken from Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road. Uribe has a court date of Nov. 12.

Bark Collar Lifted

Someone took a bark collar valued at $84.95 from Menard’s, 300 N. Randall Road, according to a report filed at 6:33 p.m. Oct. 10.
