West Chicago Man Charged With Street Racing After Crash
The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Batavia police arrested Ryan Hernandez, 22, of West Chicago on charges of street racing, failure to report damage to an unattended vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to a report filed around 12:09 a.m. Aug. 10.
According to reports, Hernandez was accused of street racing a yellow vehicle before losing control and striking a concrete wall and stopping against the corner of 1803 Suncast Lane.
Suncast Lane is a side street that runs parallel to Fabyan Parkway just south of Fabyan Parkway.

Reports said Hernandez left the scene and was found at this residence and taken into custody.
