Weird Police Reports: Woman Accused of Defecating on Neighbor's Lawn and More
The following information was supplied by the local police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
"Humans," says one well-known insurance commercial. "We mean well, but we're imperfect creatures living in a beautifully imperfect world."
The same could be said about "neighbors," based on the following items culled from the Batavia police blotter, which includes accusations of a woman defecating on a neighbor's yard, a concern that one neighbor took another's cat and a man entering a home unannounced looking for someone named "Ben."
"It's amazing we made it this far," the commercial says.
Naked From Waist Down
A complainant told police that a female subject, 56, was observed to have no clothes on from the waist down and to have defecated on a neighbor’s lawn, according to a report filed at 3:27 p.m. Oct. 4. “The suspect was located and denied all the allegations,” reports said.

Thought Neighbor Took Cat
A neighborhood dispute was reported at 7:23 p.m. Sept. 28 in the 600 block of Madison in Batavia. The complainant “lost his cat and thought his neighbor may have taken it,” reports said. “Unable to locate the cat,” reports said.

Dog at Large
According to a report filed at 5:11 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 500 block of North VanNortwick Avenue, a dog was returned to its owner, who was issued an ordinance ticket for “dog at large.”
Looking for 'Ben'
Police arrested Jeffery Biro, 47, of Batavia, who reportedly entered the victim’s home at 0-99 block of South Van Buren Street without permission at 5:22 p.m. Sept. 25. Biro was confronted by the homeowner and said he was looking for “Ben.” He apologized and left. Police later located Biro at his residence and took him into custody. He posted $150 bond and has a court date of Nov. 12.
