Weather Stripping Pulled From Harrison Street School Window—But Nothing Missing

Window is loosened, but a premise check reveals building is secure.

Someone removed about 4 feet of weather stripping and molding from a window adjacent to the exterior door of Entrance No. 9 at Harrison Street School, 201 N. Harrison St., sometime between 2:52 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. May 24, Geneva police reports said.

The value to repair the window was estimated at around $100.

An employee of the school told police he reported to work around 5:40 a.m. and saw the rubber weather-stripping molds in a garbage can on the east side of the school grounds. He found the molding missing from the window on the east side of the building. Police observed that the window was loose but a premise check revealed that the building was secure.
