Warning Ticket Issued After Thursday Crash on Kirk Road

Police reports: No one was injured in the Thursday afternoon accident reported by Geneva Patch. A warning ticket was issued to the driver of the Chrysler Sedona.

No one was injured in the Thursday afternoon accident on Kirk Road just south of Hill Road.

Geneva Patch reported the accident on Thursday, shortly after police scanners reported an accident with possible injuries.

Geneva police reports indicate that both drivers refused medical treatment, but tows were requried and more than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

According to reports, the front of a Chrysler Sedona driven by Theresa Bowen, 58, of Aurora collided with the rear of a Service Master Chevrolet Express driven by Muharen Hyseinovic, 33, of Carol Stream about 3:15 p.m. Feb. 16 on North Kirk Road about 750 feet south of Hill Road.

Medic 251 reported to the scene but both drivers refused treatment, reports said.

The white Sedona convertible sustained extensive damage to its front end.

One southbound lane of Kirk Road was closed, but the bottleneck did not significantly slow the flow of traffic on Thursday.

Bowen was issued a written warning for following too closely.
