Want Fries With That? McDonald's Ketchup Packets Apparently Emptied Onto 2 Vehicles on Shoop Drive

Geneva police roundup: Geneva vehicles and their owners endure BB gun damage, ketchup vandalism and theft.

The leftover items from last week's Geneva police reports all have something to do with a vehicle. Ketchup is poured on two, a BB gun or similar weapon is used to damage the windshield of another. In a third incident, an expensive purse is stolen from a vehicle parked at Walgreens.

Vandalism—Someone threw ketchup on two vehicles parked in the 1200 block of Shoop Drive sometime between 10 p.m. April 23 and 7:30 a.m. April 24, Geneva police reports said. A Dodge Caravan and Ford Focus had ketchup thrown on the driver’s side. A McDonald’s cup with  ketchup in it was found in the street near the vehicles. One of the owners washed the ketchup from the vehicles and there is no estimate regarding the amount of damage.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone used a BB gun or similar weapon and shot the windshield of an Isuzu pickup truck parked in the 200 block of Kane Street sometime between 5:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 3, reports said. The projectile struck the lower part of the windshield on the driver’s side. The cost of replacement was estimated at $225.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle—Someone took ta purse and its contents from a car parked at Walgreens, 2100 West State St., sometime between 9 p.m. May and 6:45 a.m. May 2, reports said. The purse contained about $40 in cash, a black bifold Coach leather wallet valued at $150. The Coach purse was valued at $400.
