Vehicle Burglary Puts Damper on Homecoming Dance

Geneva police reports: More than $225 worth of items stolen from

A fun Homecoming dance at Geneva High School became a little less enjoyable for a few attendees after a car burglar took several items from a vehicle parked on Logan Avenue.

The incident comes two days after an East Side neighborhood was hit with a series of vehicle burglaries in which GPS devices were a primary target.

Vehicle Burglary—Someone took two iPod Touch, a Pantech “Rue” cellular phone, a set of keys, a brown shoulder bag containing pink seatshirt and sweathpants from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Logan Avenue sometime between 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and 10 p.m. Oct. 6, reports said. The owner said the items were taken while he was attending the Geneva High School Homecoming Dance. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $225.
