Crime & Safety

Various Criminals Take a Grill Brush and Propane Tank, Break a Fence and Steal an iPod

Police reports: Among the petty thefts and criminal damage to property are a back yard fence, a grill brush and propane tank and an iPod, the latter from a Geneva middle school.

Two of these are crimes against nature in that they involve desecrating someone's back yard prior to the Memorial Day weekend. The wood fence is bad enough, but the propane tank and grill brush, for heaven sake? It's wrong, very wrong.

Anyway, here's the roundup of theft and property damage.

Theft Under $500—Someone took a propane tank and grill brush from the back yard of a home in the 700 block of Edison Avenue sometime between 6 p.m. May 10 and 7 p.m. May 13, reports said. The estimated cost of replacing the items is $30.
