Vandals Do a Number on Eagle Brook Golf Course
Police blotter: For golfers, the damage report is hard to hear. Why would anyone harm an innocent golf course?
Someone damaged unsecured tee-box markers, uprooted hazardous-area stakes and threw them in water hazards, tipped over divot repair boxes, uprooted fresh sod, took two flagsticks, uprooted a a clock signage marquee, damaged a wooden bench and two metal golf-ball washers at Eagle Brook Country Club, 2288 Fargo Boulevard.
The vandalism took place sometime between 9 p.m. May 20 and 6 a.m. May 21, Geneva police reports said.
Most of the vandalism was in the area of holes 1, 2, 4, 11, 17 and 18. Golf course operators believe there were multiple offenders because they observed “several different types of alcoholic beverage containers randomly scattered around the holes."
