Vandalism and Property Damage in Police Reports

Police blotter: Miscellaneous mischief found in police reports.

Nice weather sometimes brings with it some vandalism and mischief. Here are three items found in recent police reports.

Vandalism—Someone threw an egg at a garage door of a home in the 900 block of Ginger Lane sometime between 6:30 p.m. April 27 and 10:30 a.m. April 28, reports said. There was no damage to the garage door, reports said.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone broke two glass windows of ReMax Excels, 1772 S. Randall Road, Suite 100, sometime between 5 p.m. April 27 and 8:30 a.m. April 28, reports said. The owner said rocks were used to break the windows and estimated it would cost $1,000 to replace the windows.

Criminal Damage to Property Under $300—Someone broke two 19-by-15 glass windows in the Norton McMurray Manufacturing building, 2570 Kaneville Court, sometime between 5:30 p.m. April 27 and 6 a.m. April 28, reports said. The victim estimated it would cost $20 to replace the window. Police noted that the report is similar to the ReMax complaint.
