Two Teens Turn Themselves in for Garage Burglary

Robert V. Zambetti, 18, of Carol Stream and Steven A. Miller, 18, of West Chicago are charged with residential burglary.

Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with an August garage burglary, announced Thursday. A third suspect remains at large.

Robert V. Zambetti, 18, of 1059 Big Eagle Trail in Carol Stream and Steven A. Miller, 18, of 353 Hemlock Lane in West Chicago both are charged with one count of felony residential burglary.

On Aug. 16, two teenagers were seen running from the attached garage of a house in the 100 block of Foxwood Lane, according to police. The victim, who witnessed the alleged burglary and had called police, said she saw the teens holding items as they ran and climbed into a black Audi four-door sedan. Two other teens were reportedly inside the car.

The victim told police that two Black & Decker cordless drills were stolen. She also said she thought that beer was taken from a refrigerator inside the garage.

A car with people matching the description given by the witness was found on Aug. 19, according to police Investigators were able to learn that the drills had been pawned at a Carol Stream shop. Charges of residential burglary were authorized for the three men.

Zambetti turned himself to police on Sept. 10. He was booked at the and released on $35,000 bail. His next court date is set for Sept. 26.

Miller turned himself in on Wednesday. He was booked, released on $10,000 bail and also given a court date of Sept. 26.

Police have not identified the third suspect, who remains wanted on a charge of residential burglary.

Lol dumb and dumber...so together the bonds are $45000 or 10% at $4500 for 2 drills they probably got $15 each for on a good day lol
