Traffic Reports: Be Careful When Parking in Geneva Commons

Here's a collection of accident reports collected this week at the Geneva Police Department.

Among the things you come to realize pretty quickly when collecting Geneva police traffic-accident reports are some of the in the city.

But another thing you realize is that the most common place for a parking lot fender bender is the Geneva Commons. That's not surprising in that it probably is the biggest commercial parking lot in the city. But it's a good reminder, too, to be especially careful when you park there.

Accident in Geneva Commons—The rear of a Ford Escape driven by Rammy Radvanovsky, 41, of Geneva collided with the front of a Honda Civic driven by Pheophanh Kapkeo, 26, of Elgin around 10 a.m. July 31 in the Geneva Commons parking lot. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on South Randall Road—A Honda Accord driven by Susan McArthur, 35, of Elburn did not receive any damage while the rear of a Mini Copper driven by Shannon Farmer, 52, of Geneva received more than $1,500 in damage around 12:36 p.m. July 30 on South Randall Road about 40 feet north of Fargo Boulevard, reports said.

Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Honda Accord driven by Dylan Cawshaw, 19, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Honda Accord driven by Raymond Kozlowski, 46, of Orland Park around 12:52 p.m. July 30 on South Randall Road about 20 feet south of Christina Lane, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Hit and Run—An unknown vehicle struck a Nissan Maxima parked in the 300 block of Colonial Circle around 3:40 p.m. July 30, reports said. Damage was estimated at more than $1,500.

Accident on Kaneville Road—No damage was done to a Plymouth 2000 driven by Deana Kelly-King, 48, of Geneva while the rear of a Toyota Avalon driven by Karen Jones, 56, of Elburn sustained between $501 and $1,500 damage in an accident around 9:15 a.m. July 27 in the 1100 block of Kaneville Road, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehcle.

Accident on Private Property at Longview Drive—The rear of a Hyundai Sonata driven by Kimberly O’Connor, 40, of Geneva collided with the front of a Cadillac SRX driven by Allen Landmeier, 68, of St. Charles around 4:12 p.m. July 20 on private property in the 200 block o Longview Drive near Hill Road, reports said. Between $510 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Private Property at South Randall Road—The rear of a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Kelsey Kuebler, 19, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a parked Honda Accord around 5:40 P.M. July 25, reports said. Between $500 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Private Property South Randall Road—The rear of a Cadillac Deville driven by Thomas LaForce, 64, of Geneva collided with the passenger side of a Buick Enclave driven by Michele Dierks, 40, of Geneva around 10:17 a.m. July 25 on private property in the 1100 block of South Randall Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. 

Accident on Campbell Street—The rear of a Nissan Altima driven by Leslie Milano, 49, of St. Charles collided with the driver’s side of a Toyota Highlander driven by Sharon Mays, 62, of Geneva around 1:04 p.m. July 25 in the 200 block of Campbell Street, reports said. Between $500 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
