There's a New Police Officer in Geneva!

The city welcomes Chris Reading to the Geneva police force.

Geneva welcomed a new police officer to the force Monday at the City Council meeting.

Christopher Reading is a Geneva High School grad who was "extended a conditional offer of employment by the Police Department in August and has since successfully passed the pre-employment screening process," Police Chief Steve Mexin said in his monthly report.

"Mr. Reading is now scheduled to begin employment with the t as a sworn police officer on Sept. 19," Mexin said. "Mr. Reading will be filling one of the three vacancies that the PD currently has in its Patrol Division. This is a budgeted position."
