Thefts Reported at Delnor, Needle Things
Cash is taken from an emergency room and silver from a display at a Third Street business.
Two thefts were reported in the Geneva police blotter last week.
Cash Taken in Delnor Emergency Room
Someone took $45 from a woman’s jacket pocket while it was lying on a chair unattended from about 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Jan. 11 inside the emergency room of Delnor Hospital, 300 S. Randall Road, reports said.
Silver Platter, Sugar Spoon Taken From Display
A white male subject took a 12-inch silver platter and silver sugar spoon from a display case of Needle Things, 426 S. Third St., at around 1:20 p.m. Jan. 9, reports said. According to reports, the victim rents space at Needle Things and has her own items on display for sale in a glass cabinet. The white male is described as around 40, 6-foot-3, with a red full-face beard. He was wearing a baseball cap at the time of the theft, reports said. The victim said the man was looking at the items, and when he left, they were gone. The platter was valued at $69.95 and the sugar spoon at $19.95.
