UPDATE: Thanksgiving Eve Fight at Old Towne Involved Crowd of 150 People

Police say there were a lot of flashing police lights, but fight at Old Towne on Thanksgiving's wee hours was safely handled and order was restored quickly.

Geneva police Cmdr. Julie Nash confirmed reports from some Geneva Patch readers saying there was a fight at or in the vicinity of Old Towne Pub in the early morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 24.

Nash confirmed by phone that there were a number of squad cars and flashing lights. She added in an e-mail Monday that there were about 150 people milling about and three altercations that police had to deal with.

Nash wanted to emphasize that any time there are that many people involved, the incident is serious and she commended officers for handling the ruckus professionally.
