Teens' Cars Collide While Trying to Leave Fight at Drinking Party

Police reports: No one is injured and teens are not involved in fight. Teens deny drinking and parents are informed.

Two Geneva 17-year-olds were involved in a minor accident while they were attempting to leave an underage drinking party in the 700 block of McKinley Avenue near Union Street, where a fight had broken out, Geneva police reports said.

The rear of a Ford Crown Victoria collided with the front of a parked Hyundai Tiburon around 11 p.m. April 8 after the fight broke out in the 700 block of McKinley Avenue near Union Street.

The first driver “attempted to leave the party and subsequently struck (the Hyundai) as he was attempting to maneuver out of a parallel parked position,” reports said.

The drivers denied consuming alcohol at the party and were not involved in the fight, reports said. The parents of both juveniles were informed and both parties concurred with this account of the accident, reports said.

No citations were issued to the drivers.
