Struggle Over Car Keys Leads to Domestic Battery Charges

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A struggle over car keys at a popular local pub resulted in charges of domestic battery leveled against a Geneva man, police reports said.

Geneva police arrested Donald Foglia, 45, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm and domestic battery insulting or provoking contact after an incident around 1:38 a.m. March 2 at Old Towne Pub, 201 W. State St., reports said.

According to reports, officers were called in reference to a fight and determined it was a domestic dispute between Foglia and his girlfriend. Witnesses told police Foglia grabbed the victim by the neck and attempted to get his car keys from her, then grabbed her a second time by the neck and placed her into a headlock.
