Someone Steals an 'Easter Island Head' Sculpture From Front Yard
Police reports: Theft under $300 and criminal damage to property among the miscellaneous items in this week's blotter.
You know those monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people from rock on the Chilean Polynesian island of Easter Island between the years 1250 and 1500? Yeah, those things.
Well, a 4-foot tall one was taken from the front of a Geneva home. We are not making this up.
Also, someone decided orange paint would look good on the sidewalk of a home on Wood Avenue. Why, we do not know. We simply report what's in the Geneva police blotter.
