Someone Paints Swastika on Car Tail Light

Police reports: No hate crime reported, but the painted symbol always carries emotion.

This is one of those blotter items that might not have been overlooked if not for the emblem that was painted by the vandal or vandals.

Someone  spraypainted a Swastika on the tail light of of Dodge pickup parked in the 400 block of Illinois Street sometime between 4 p.m. May 20 and 10:45 a.m. May 21, reports said.

The resident told police that he would try to remove the paint himself and would contact them if he could not wash it off. The report did not list a dollar estimate for the damage.
