Someone Breaks into Good Templar Park Cottage

Broken windows and a mirror, and bed sheets taken from a cottage in the privately owned park.

Someone broke two windows and one bedroom mirror in one of the cottages of , 628 East Side Drive, some time between Feb. 19 and Feb. 20, reports said.

Good Templar Park contains a number of cottages on the wooded property between East Side Drive and Bennett Street. The park is fenced, and usually people respect that boundary.

The owner of the cottage said she was alerted to the damage when several other members noticed the front window of the cottage had been broken. When the owner inspected the cottage, she found that it had been entered, a mirror was broken and sheets were taken from the bed.

A planter had been placed in front of the broken window that the intruder might have used as a step to enter the cottage. The estimated cost to replace the windows and mirror was $500.
