Smashed Mailbox and Shattered Window Among the Criminal Damage Reports

Police reports: Two criminal damage to property items in this week's Geneva blotter include one smashed mailbox and one shattered driver's side window.

It looks like the mailbox was struck by a pipe or a baseball bat. The window is anybody's guess, but nothing was taken from the car.

Here's the roundup of criminal damage to property reports found in this week's Geneva police blotter.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone smashed a wood mailbox in the front yard of a home in the 500 block of Bloomfield Circle sometime between 10 p.m. Feb. 24 and 10 a.m. Feb. 25, Geneva police reports said. Police observed a round impression on the side of the mailbox. “It appeared that the mailbox was struck with either a large pipe or baseball bat,” the report said. The cost of replacing the mailbox was estimated at $100.
