Slew of Collisions and Fender Benders in Last Week's Police Reports

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here is the roundup of collisions and fender benders collected last week from Geneva police reports.

Accident on Dodson Street—The front of a Ford Focus driven by Matthew Johnson, 26, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Honda Accord parked in the 100 block of Dodson Street about 30 feet east of Bennett Street around 1:30 a.m. Oct. 10, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Stevens Street—The front of a Chrysler Sebring driven by Lindsay Webb, 26, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Lexus ES300 driven by Karen Laukaitis, 45, of Geneva around 7:15 a.m. Oct. 4 at the intersection of Stevens Street and North First Street (Route 31), reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Webb was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Accident on Kaneville Road—The front of an Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by James Miller, 32, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a Honda Civic driven by Williams Ackerman, 60, of LaGrange around 3:20 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 1800 block of Kaneville Road near Northampton Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. The vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. Ackerman was waiting to turn into the driveway of , reports said.

Accident on East State Street—The front of a Chevrolet Equinox driven by Lena Serpico, 42, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Toyota Tercel driven by Margaret Nendrick, 69, of Wheaton around 1:20 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 1500 block fo East State Street near Kirk Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on South Peck Road—The front of a Chrysler LeBaron driven by Richard Pontilla, 22, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Dodge Avenger driven by David Ekey, 41, of Geneva around 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at the intersection of South Peck Road and Kaneville Road, reports said. More than $1,500 was done to any one vehicle. The LeBaron required a tow.

Accident on South Randall Road private property—The rear of a Mercedes-Benz Mi350 driven by Michael Kainz, 63, of Elburn collided with the rear of a Lexus LX470 driven by Julie Conroy, 50, of Geneva around 1 :53 p.m. Sept. 30 on private property in the 1500 block of South Randall Road near Christina Lane, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on North Third Street—The rear of a Kia Soul driven by Elizabeth Loving, 47, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Camaro driven by Christina Beardsley-Snell, 59, of Batavia around 3:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 0-99 block of North Third Street, reports said. Less than $500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Keslinger Road—The front of a Nissan Altima driven by James Porter, 62, of Carol Stream collided with the rear of a Lexus ES300 driven by Donna Shelly, 52, of Batavia around 3:35 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 3500 block of Keslinger Road near South Peck Road, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Shelly said she has chronic neck problems and said she felt pain from the impact of the accident, reports said, but refused to allow the officer to call an ambulance, saying she would drive herself to the hospital.
