Severe Thunderstorm Watch, Penny-Sized Hail Coming Our Way

The National Weather Service-Chicago has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles area.

Penny-sized hail and severe weather are in the forecast Monday night for Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles.

All you've got to do is look out the window, and you'll see the rain and hear the thunder.

At 9:28 p.m. Doppler Radar indicted a strong thunderstorm line from Newark to 10 miles south of Newark. Winds of up to 50 mph are expected to accompany the penny-sized hail.

Best advice: Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storms have passed.

The watch is in effect until 3 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
