Police File Charges on Reckless Driving April 24 Accident at East Fabyan Parkway and Route 25
The following information was supplied by local police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A Ford Escape driven by Kenneth Fredrickson, 49, of Elgin collided with the front of a Honda Civic driven by Abigail Pedersen, 33, of Batavia around 4:05 p.m. April 24 in a bizarre crash at the intersection of East Fabyan Parkway and Crissey Avenue (Route 25).
According to Geneva police reports, Pedersen’s Civic was stopped waiting to turn left on a green light at State Route 25 (Crissey Avenue) and East Fabyan Parkway when Fredrickson’s westbound Escape left the road, drove into the parkway between an electric box and a traffic signal pole, drove back onto the roadway, struck the Civic and “proceeded to drive away without stopping,” reports said.
A witness described the driver as a white male, balding, with glasses. Fredrickson was arrested on charges of reckless driving/aggravated reckless driving and driving while license suspended or revoked. He also received a warning notice for leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage. He has a court date of June 11.
