Randall Road Theft Arrests—Stolen Items Include Dog Cages, Earrings, $150 of Captain Morgan Rum

Geneva police made a couple of theft arrests to start the new year, including the unusual cases of a stolen dog cage, Claire's earrings and $150 worth of Captain Morgan rum. All the incidents were in the area of Randall Road.
Theft Under $500—Geneva police arrested Allen Schultze, 49, of Sugar Grove and Alan Wolter, 53, of Geneva on a charge of theft under $500 at about 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at a pet business called A New Dog, 2540 Kaneville Court, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Schultze and Wolter took a metal, portable dog cage valued at about $100. Both men have a court date of Feb. 19 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road.
Retail Theft— Geneva police cited Katelyn Mudd, 18, of Batavia fore retail theft under $50 after she was caught taking three packages of earrings from Claire’s, 1534 Commons Drive. The earrings were valued at $30.50. The citation carries a $50 fine if paid by its due date.

Retail Theft—Geneva police assisted the Kane County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of Shaquille Smith, 19, of Batavia on charges of retail theft at about 1:13 p.m. Jan. 7 at a grocery store in the 2000 block of South Randall Road, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Smith took two 750 mil. Bottles of Captain Morgan rum, having a total value of more than $150. Smith has a court date of Feb. 19 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
