Purses Raided Prior to Employees' Lunch Break at Peacock Engineering

Geneva police reported three incidents of thefts from women's purses at Peacock Engineering, 1800 Averill Road, sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Oct. 12. In each case, the victim told police she left her purse on an open shelf in a corner of the cafeteria, and when she returned for a break, discovered the purse opened and/or moved. 

Items taken from each of the three purses include:

  • A black T-Mobile Galaxy 4G cell phone with a blue case and $35 in cash. The phone and case were valued at $390. 
  • A cell phone, $40 in cash, a debit card and Sears credit card. The cellular phone and white case were valued at $200.
  • About $70 in cash, a house key and a FifthThird Bank debit card. When the victim took her break, she found her necklace hanging out of her open purse.
