Public Drunkenness and Property Damage Followed by Domestic Battery Charges
Police reports: Geneva man arrested for domestic battery about two hours after breaking a window at a downtown bar.
Geneva police arrested Kevin Sullivan, 26, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia around 2:39 a.m. Jan. 31 in an apartment in the 300 block of Brittany Court two hours after he was cited for public drunkenness at a downtown bar, reports said.
Sullivan was arrested for criminal damage to property and cited for public intoxication around 12:28 a.m. Jan. 31 at Old Towne Pub, 201 West State St. Sullivan broke an 8-by-10-inch, single-pane window valued at less than $300, reports said.
About two hours later, police responded to a domestic violence call at the Brittany Court apartment where Sullivan lives.

The officer who filed the report said he heard a couple arguing. Sullivan “yelled at the victim, which was followed by a slapping noise and a large crashing noise,” reports said.
The victim told police that Sullivan had “thrown her to the ground, causing her to strike her shin on a piece of furniture.” Police discovered a “one-hit” pipe in Sullivan’s pocket, reports said.

In addition to the public intoxication citation and criminal damage to property arrest, Sullivan faces authorized charges of domestic battery (bodily harm), domestic battery (insulting / provoking touch) and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
