Presents Stolen From Car's Trunk on Christmas Eve

The following information was supplied by Geneva and Batavia police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Patch collected what we hope is the last of the "Grinchy" police reports of the holiday season Tuesday from the Batavia and Geneva police reports.


Presents Taken From Trunk on Christmas Eve


According to the report filed at 2:48 a.m. Dec. 25, someone took presents from the trunk of a vehicle in the 0-99 block of Delia Street. At the time of the report, the owner did not know the total value of the items taken.

Reports said the presents were taken sometime between 11 p.m. Dec. 24 and 1 a.m. Dec. 25.

Genevan Charged with Damaging Snow Globe

Geneva police arrested Ronald Zacher, 44, of Geneva on charges of criminal damage to property under $300 after an incident between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 29, reports said. According to a complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Zacher knowingly damaged a glass snow globe and glass candleholder in a residence in the 700 block of North Street. The snow globe and candleholder had an estimated value of $50, according to the case report filed at 2:25 a.m. Dec. 30.
