Possible Counterfeit $100 Bill Passed at Pizza Place

The suspect gets $84 change but doesn't come back for the pizza.

Batavia police reports included a curious incident regarding a possible counterfeit bill.

Batavia police reported to Rosati’s Pizza, 334 E. Wilson St., after a subject who ordered a pizza paid with a $100 bill and was given $84 back in change.

I'm sure this will be fixed soon. Title of the article: "Possible Counterfeit $20 Bill Passed at Pizza Place" Content: "paid wth a $100 bill and was given $84 back in change." Possible counterfeit $100 bill?

Geneva Resident, thanks for pointing this out. The headline was changed to read "$100 Bill."

There is an inexpensive marker that is used for detecting counterfeit money. Would have cheaper than $84.
