Police: West Chicago Man Drove Drunk, Hit Pedestrian in Geneva

Felipe Hernandez, 25, now faces charges for leaving the scene of a crash and drunken driving, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

A 25-year-old West Chicago man faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and drunken driving after police said he hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street in Geneva on May 22, according to the Kane County Chronicle. 

Felipe Hernandez, 25, ran a red light at about 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of West State Street and Third Street and hit a 29-year-old Elgin woman, who was walking north across West State Street, and then kept driving, according to the article. 

The Kane County Chronicle reports the woman suffered a broken left fibula following the accident.
