Police Reports: Someone Burns Hole in Playground Surface at Williamsburg Elementary

Rubber surface damaged on school property between Oct. 28 and Oct. 31.

Someone damaged the rubber surface of the playground area at Williamsburg Elementary School, 1812 Williamsburg Ave., sometime between 5 p.m. Oct. 28 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 31, reports said.

A school representative said it appeared that person or persons attempted to start a fire under the slide in the playground area on the west side of the school. The estimated cost of repairing the playground surface is $250.
