Police Reports: Presbyterian Church Playhouse Takes Beating

A person or persons breaks the Plexiglass window of a playhouse at Fox Valley Presbyterian Church, one of several incidents at the church playground.

Someone broke a Plexiglass window of a playhouse at the Fox Valley Presbyterian Church, 227 East Side Drive, sometime between 6 p.m. May 28 and 8 a.m. May 29, reports said.

The playhouse is located at the far eastern edge of the church property, and whoever did it damaged the window by forcing in the Plexiglass, breaking the material and damaging the frame, reports said.

The church representatives told police that there have been several other incidents at the playground, such as taking items and putting them in the retention area.

An regarding Plexiglass window damage to the church playhouse was filed in October 2010.

Playground equipment at Faith Christian School, 1745 Kaneville Road, was damaged in August 2011.

The suggested adding outdoor lighting to discourage nighttime vandalism.

The damage to the window is estimated at $50.
