Police Reports: List of Collisions Piles Up
Geneva police blotter: Patch hasn't reported collisions in awhile, so the numbers look like a little demolition derby.
Here's a roundup of collisions, fender-benders and traffic accidents (actually, those three are synonyms—perhaps a call is in order to William Safire's famous anti-redundancy unit, the Squad Squad) from Geneva police reports.
Collision with Parked Truck—A Chevrolet Impala (owned by Bradley Jerdee of Geneva) struck a GMC C7500 around 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 on private property in the 600 block of West State Street near Richards Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done. The truck is owned by Budget Truck Rental of Oklahoma City, OK.
Collision on Glengarry Drive—The front of a Ford Explorer driven by Brian Twohey of Geneva collided with the rear of a Nissan Sentra driven by Jacklyn Yep of Geneva around 7:15 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 1200 block of Glengarry Drive near Whitfield Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on McKinely Avenue—A Chevrolet Suburban driven by Susan O’Connell of Clarendon Hills collided with an Acura driven by John Vrba of Geneva around 2:08 p.m. Feb. 26 on private property in the 400 block of McKinley Avenue near Steven Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
Collision on Sheffield Lane—The front of a Volkswagon Beetle drive by Deanna Holly of Geneva collided with the passenger’s side of a Volvo 850 driven by Jeanne Coblentz of Geneva around 5:55 p.m. Feb. 22 at the intersection of Sheffield Lane and Colonial Avenue, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Private Property on Randall Court—A Jeep Cheroke driven by Bruce Olson of Geneva collided with a Nissan Altima driven by Dave Curotto of Aurora around 8:30 a.m. Feb. 22 on private property in the 1100 block of Randall Court near Fargo Boulevard, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
Collision on East Fabyan Parkway—The front of a Ford Focus driven by Eric Lautenschlager of Geneva collided with the rear of Honda Accord driven by James Kennedy of Geneva around 5:57 p.m. Feb. 22 at the intersection of , reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to either vehicle. Lautenschlager was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, reports said.
