Police Reports: Golf Clubs, Stereo Go Bye-Bye From Cars Parked on Randall Road
Pre-Christmas vehicle burglaries include car stereo and a set of golf clubs.
It's always a sad day when . Then again, you can't help but notice the words "unattended and unlocked" in these pre-Christmas, Randall-Road-parking-lot vehicle burglary reports.
So perhaps the lesson for all of us is: Don't leave valuable items in unlocked cars if we're doing some shopping.
Vehicle Burglary—Someone took a DUAL car stereo with CD and MP3 player from a Chevrolet Suburban parked in the 1700 block of South Randall Road, Suite A, sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16, reports said. The Suburban was parked and unlocked, reports said. The stereo was valued at $39.99.

Vehicle Burglary—Someone took a checkbook and set of golf clubs from a car parked outside Barnes & Noble, 102 Commons Drive, sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 13, reports said. The vehicle was unattended and unlocked at the time of the burglary. Taken were a set of Adams Ovation irons 2 through 9, a silver Odyssey putter, a Walter Hagen golf bag with stand and a Taylor Made Burner driver with a total value of $800.
