Police Reports: Chernich Issued Warning Ticket After Collision
Geneva police blotter: A Lexus driven by Tom Chernich collides with a Town & Country on East State Street.
The front end of a Lexus IS250 driven by Thomas Chernich of Berwyn collided with the passenger-side rear of a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Michele O’Brien of Batavia around 7:25 a.m. Jan. 11 at East State Street and Bennett Street, Geneva police reports said.
More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
Chernich was driving west in the 0-99 block of East State Street and O’Brien was traveling north on Bennett Street, proceeding through the intersection on a green light. Chernich said he attempted to stop at the red light, but the tires on his Lexus slid on the snow-covered roadway.

Chernich was issued a warning ticket for driving too fast for conditions.
