Police Reports: Accidents on Logan Avenue, East State Street, Woodward Avenue ...

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Accidents, oy. Here are some more, collect last week from the Geneva Police Department blotter.

Accident on Logan Avenue—The rear of a Toyota Tundra driven by Kevin McKenzie, 19, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Ford Ranger driven by Scott Renner, 53, of St. Charles around 11:31 a.m. Aug. 19 in the 100 block of Logan Avenue about 90 feet north of West State Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Reports said Renner, who is employed by the city of Geneva, was dispatched to the 100 block of Logan Avenue to assist Nicor with a reported gas leak. Renner parked the vehicle on the east side of the street. McKenzie’s Tundra was backing out of the driveway at 102 Logan Ave. and “inadvertently struck the driver’s side door or the Ford Ranger.

Accident on East State Street—A Mitzubishi Galant driven by Taylor ROberg, 23, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Ford F-250 driven by William Morrow, 44, of St. Charles around 4:35 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 1500 block of East State Street near North Kirk Road, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Roberg was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Accident on Woodward Avenue—The rear of a Mercury Monterey driven by Jean Zimmer, 51, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Pontiac Vibe driven by John Lacy, 36, of Geneva in the 200 block of Woodward Avenue about a quarter mile west of School Street around 2:40 p.m. Aug. 17, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Zimmer was issued a warning ticket for improper backing.

Accident at Williamsburg Avenue and Commons Drive—The front of a Honda Civic driven by Richard Petitt, 47, of South Beloit, WI, collided with the driver’s side of a Hyundai Sonata driven by Luke Polishak, 16, of Geneva around 7:25 p.m. Aug. 17 at the intersection of Williamsburg Avenue and Commons Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident at Black Ridge Lane—The rear of a Cadillac driven by Kathleen Coglio, 54, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Theodore Macks, 80, of Geneva around 1:50 p.m. Aug. 16 in the 0-99 block of Black Ridge Lane. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Coglio was given a verbal warning for improper backing.
