Police Reports: 2 Randall Road Accidents Result in Injuries

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police reports included two summaries of late-April accidents with injuries on Randall Road, which is also know as County Highway 34. In each case, at least one driver was taken to the hospital and issued a warning ticket.

3-Vehicle Accident with Injuries  on South Randall Road and Gleneagle Drive—The front of a Saturn Vue driven by Elizabeth Safford, 27, of Sycamore collided with the rear of a Ford Escort driven by Lindsay Gagnon, 24, of Batavia, causing it to collide with the rear of a Volvo XC90 driven by Amy Topf, 37, of South Elgin around 3:43 p.m. April 25 at the intersection of Randall Road and Gleneagle Drive, Geneva police reports said. Gagnon and a passenger in Safford’s Vue were taken to Delnor Hospital. Safford was issued a warning notice for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident With Injuries on South Randall Road—The front of a Toyota Highlander driven by Marian Harmon, 67, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Linda Temmerman, 52, of St. Charles around 8:31 p.m. April 23 in the 200 block of South Randall Road about 10 feet south of Williamsburg Avenue, reports said. Harmon’s Highlander was travelling north on Randall Road nearing Williamsburg when it struck Temmerman’s Monte Carlo, which was stopped for a red light at the intersection of Randal and Williamsburg. After the collision, the Monte Carlo was facing east on Williamsburg and the Highlander was on a raised median facing northeast on Williamsburg. Harmon was taken to Delnor Hospital and Temmerman refused treatment. Harmon was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
