Police Reports: 19-Year-Old Geneva Man Rams Ford Taurus Into Skateboarder
Police blotter: Charges include aggravated battery with a weapon—namely a Ford Taurus—as man apparently tried to hit a skateboarder.
This is one of those blotter items that's hard to fathom. How could any driver purposefully attempt to ram a pedestrian?
But that's exactly what the charges indicate, as Geneva police arrested Ryan Rafacz, 19, of Geneva on charges of aggravated public battery, aggravated battery with a weapon, wreckless driving and criminal damage to property.
According to reports, Rafacz swerved his Ford Taurus into and struck a skateboarder at around 6:30 p.m. April 13 in the 800 block of Dunstan Road. The victim was skateboarding on the right side of the roadway.
