Police Report: Theft at High School, Camera Gone at Herrington, Attempted Car Break-In at Delnor
No public place is immune to theft or attempted burglary, as the past week's police blotter items indicate.
Theft—Someone took a quilt patch purse, a Nano iPod, iPod headphones, a Samsung touch phone and an inhaler from a locker at Geneva Community High School, 416 McKinley Ave., sometime between 2:45 p.m. Sept. 23 and 8:26 a.m. Sept. 24, reports said. Total value of the articles was estimated at $400.
Camera Missing—Someone took a black Olympus digital camera valued at $350 from a The Herrington Inn, 15 S. River Lane, sometime between 3 and 7 a.m. Friday, reports said.
Attempted Car Burglary—Someone apparently tried to break into a Chrysler Sebring parked in the Delnor Hospital lot sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. Sept. 28. Reports said the car was scratched under the driver's-side door handle and one of the latches under the door handle was broken.
