An 18-year-old Elburn man has been charged in connection with an attack on a school custodian in September.
Robert A. Pruett of 1163 Motz St., faces one count of felony robbery. He is being held at the Kane County jail on $55,000 bail.
A custodian at was attacked and robbed by two men on the night of Sept. 29, according to . One man reportedly punched and threw the custodian, injuring his forehead and lower back. A second man then stole the custodian's wallet while a third man stood by and watched.
Police said an investigation led them to Pruett as a suspect. Officers with the North Central Narcotics Task Force made the arrest on Oct. 26 after they spotted Pruett driving east on Interstate 294. He was then taken to St. Charles police custody.
Pruett also is charged with one count of felony forgery in an unrelated case. Authorities allege that he passed a forged check on Oct. 26 at West Suburban Bank, 3000 E. Main St., in St. Charles.
A second person, Rachael A. Sturkey, 21, of 1555 Patricia Lane, St. Charles, also was charged with felony forged as a co-defendant with Pruett.
