Police Blotter: Missing Gnome and Stolen Guitars
Geneva Police Reports: Various "someones" take gnome statues, spray-paint pavement, steal guitars and cut the ropes on a hammock.
From a missing gnome to spay-painted pavement, here are some items collected from the blotter.
Criminal Defacement of Property—Someone spray painted pavement and sidewalk with “an unreadable arrangement of letters and symbols” on Wheeler Drive, near the Stevens Street entrance to Wheeler Park, 822 N. First St., at an unknown time prior to 1:12 p.m. July 29, reports said.
Car Burglary—Someone took guitars and music equipment from a vehicle parked and unlocked in the driveway of a residence in the 800 block of Cheever Avenue sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. July 27, reports said. The guitars and music equipment had an estimated value of $1,500.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone cut several ropes on a Hatteras Hammock located in the back yard of a residence in the 1500 block of Eagle Brook Drive sometime between 9 a.m. July 20 and 5 p.m. July 29, reports said. The estimated value of the hammock was $200.
Theft Under $500—Someone took a 12-inch Gnome statue from the front stoop of a residence in the 1300 block of Miller Road sometime between noon July 20 and 7:48 a.m. July 24, Geneva police reports said. The gnome is described as 12 inches tall, with a blue shirt and made of ceramic.
